On Sunday, 27 September at 1:15pm, the High-level Civil Society Event of the UN Sustainable Development Summit took place in Conference Room 1 in UN Headquarters. The programme included high-level speakers from the governments of Tanzania, Columbia, Kenya, Indonesia and Sweden, as well as Ms. Amina Mohammed, Special Advisor of the UN Secretary-General on Post-2015 Development Planning. Seven speakers from civil society delivered powerful remarks. UN-NGLS received a standing ovation from the audience of 570 participants for its work to ensure open, transparent, and participatory processes for civil society engagement in the formulation of the post-2015 development agenda (beginning at 1 hour 7 minutes in the video). This event focused on the new dawn of governance, in which governments and civil society shall fully collaborate on implementing the post-2015 agenda.
