On 18 April, the President of the General Assembly will convene a High-level SDG Financing Lab to highlight the critical importance of sustainable financing for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including climate action. The event will focus on how to drive the transformation to align financial markets with sustainable development, as well as showcase concrete ways in which UN Member States can approach the financing of different SDGs. At the request of the Office of the President of the General Assembly (OPGA), UN-NGLS is facilitating a process to identify four civil society or social entrepreneur speakers, as well as stakeholders wishing to attend the event as observers.

Civil society and social entrepreneur speakers are to be identified through this process for the following 4 roles:

1) High-level Panelist for Interactive Panel Discussion on "Setting the scene - What will it take to finance the SDGs?"
2) Workshop 1: Building an inclusive and peaceful future for all (SDGs 1-5, 16)
3) Workshop 2: Fostering economic growth and development, building resilient infrastructure, and tackling inequality (SDGs 7-11)
4) Workshop 3: Protecting our world in the present and future (SDGs 6, 12-15)

Travel funding will be available for 2 of the selected speakers, but not for observers.
